Flemish Land Agency (VLM)
For the Flemish Land Agency (VLM), a resilient open space full of life and a dynamic countryside are the answer to challenges such as urbanization, climate change and the decline of biodiversity. We strengthen the open space and the countryside by investing in soil and water quality, biodiversity, space for food and social cohesion. We ensure a high-quality landscape and a healthy environment, where it is good to live, work and relax.
Together with local and supra-local stakeholders, we shape the open space policy, rural policy and manure policy, and implement this on the ground. In this way, together with our partners, we contribute to the realisation of the European and Flemish nature, rural and environmental objectives.
At Agriflanders, VLM wants to inform visitors primarily about the themes of manure bank and manure policy on the one hand and management agreements on the other.
Animal welfare in Flanders
Animal Welfare Flanders is responsible for the preparation, support and control of animal welfare policy in Flanders. At the fair, Animal Welfare Flanders wants to inform visitors about natural shelter for pasture animals, such as hedges or trees.
B3W (Guidance Service for Better Soil and Water Quality)
B3W was created under the flag of the Flemish Land Agency (VLM) to support the objectives of the Flemish manure policy. Through specialized services, B3W supports agricultural companies in making their business strategy and exploitation more sustainable with information, knowledge, tools and advice. At the fair, B3W wants to provide visitors with additional information on the theme of reasoned fertilization.
